Mrs. Deena Zachai
6th Grade Girls, Girls Middle School Programming
Mrs. Deena Zachai has a deep passion for education and for shaping the future of today’s Jewish girls. After spending a year studying in Israel, she earned a dual bachelor’s degree in psychology and health science, followed by a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Mrs. Zachai went on to pursue a career as an occupational therapist in the school system, helping children and teens develop their independence and thrive in the classroom.
Since moving to Phoenix seven years ago, Mrs. Zachai has been teaching and serving as a mechaneches in the local community. She enjoys connecting with her talmidos individually and learning about their unique strengths and interests. By uncovering the hidden talents of each girl that are not always visible in the classroom, she helps them succeed both academically and on a personal level.
As a Chumash teacher and educator, Mrs. Zachai's primary goal is to inspire her students to become independent learners and critical thinkers. She strives to create a dynamic and enriching classroom environment, where ideas flow freely and every student feels valued and supported. Mrs. Zachai is thrilled to be part of PHA, where she can help provide students with engaging and meaningful experiences that will pave the way for their future as successful Bas Yisrael, leading fulfilling and rewarding lives.
